High Seas of Tamriel

Explore a new type of combat during the High Seas of Tamriel
Starting September 30th and running through until October 14th, you can dive into the seas of Tamriel and get Trade Bars and other loot from completing the event quest!
To start, get the starter quest from the Crown Store or head over to the Gold Coast and find the ghost of Baron-Captain Olsien Guy Mard. He'll have you complete a few objectives to get his ship back above water before you can start the real event and board his ship by picking up the daily quest.
As you get on board, you have to defend the ship from incoming enemies, patch holes from projectiles from the enemy ship and fire ballistas at the enemy ship. This can get hectic, but the developers have said it's a complete experience for both solo players and groups. After you successfully sink the enemy ship, you can use the bell that you repaired to bubble up and go underwater. Here you can explore as much as you want or go straight for the booty that's marked by your quest marker. There are secrets hidden away and optional bosses so exploring can absolutely be worthwhile, but with it being a daily repeatable quest you don't have to worry about missing out if you don't do it every time.
Noteworthy are the new tradeable Antiquity Leads that can drop, including furnishing recipe Leads. Players who don't own Greymoor and don't have ESO Plus don't have to worry though, the Scrying system will be coming to the base game shortly after the end of High Seas of Tamriel! Keep an eye out on the website for a guide on how to get started with Scrying Antiquities and everything you need to know about the system.
This event is available for a limited time only, just like the Night Market. It's part of the new philosophy of making new experimental content and have more freedom in what is being created rather than being stuck with a strict release schedule. There haven't been any specific comments about bringing it back in the future, but the devs have said it will likely come back and will be looking at how the event is received and build on that, whether that means more stuff like it, bringing it back as is, or making changes prior to bringing it back.
